IWM is Your MasterLink between Planning and Action, Every Shift, Every Worker

IWM makes the connection between planning and action a real link. Changes made in the IWM understanding of an asset and its needed tasks will be immediately translated into action.

Suppose the original plan calls for a given asset, say an HVAC unit, to have its filters changed once every 90 days as part of preventive maintenance. That task will be defined and built into the template for all such HVAC units (comprehensive); and will never be over-looked as a task (Zero Neglect). But lets say reality intervenes. Certain units are tucked into hard-to-reach cubbyholes, and, also because of location, pick up more particulates in their filters. They are taking 20 minutes to service instead of the normal ten, and breaking down more often because their filters require changing more frequently. These particular units can be updated in IWM, apart from the majority of such units, to reflect their special needs. In future, their preventive maintenance will happen more frequently, and a longer time will be allocated to servicing them. Results? Fewer breakdowns of the units, and a more accurate scheduling of the worker's day.

MasterLink IWM: KnowledgeBase video contains a discussion of how the "templates" help you achieve a persistent management effectiveness that survives personnel changes.
